The Story circle interview method: Stories for Knowledge Justice

April 4, 2025

NYU Environmental and Racial Justice Network Summit

Drawing inspiration from this legacy, the Story Circle Interview Method conceives of stories shared in community to expand how we create and produce knowledge in research. By the end of this session, participants will have learned about and practiced elements of the Story Circle Interview Method. This method is a work in progress and will seek questions and comments from the audience on its possibilities in their respective contexts and communities.

My chapter, “The Story Circle Interview Method: The Power of Story as Data,” will be published in the forthcoming book, Anti-colonial Research Praxis: Methods for Knowledge Justice, in April 2025.
